Middle Europe Books brings books by and about Central European writers to a global audience by publishing them in English translation. Based in Budapest, Middle Europe Books gives special attention to Hungarian authors, but we seek projects from all of Middle Europe.

Middle Europe is a cultural and geopolitical realm encompassing the former Austro-Hungarian Empire (which extended into Romania, Ukraine, and the Balkans), plus Germany, Switzerland, Poland, and the Baltic states.

Our Intermarium Books imprint focuses on geopolitical writing from the Intermarium region between the Baltic, Black, and Adriatic Seas.
